What Jaimini Astrology Is
Jaimini astrology is a distinct school of Vedic astrology attributed to the sage Jaimini, preserved in the cryptic Jaimini Sutras. Where Parashara's system focuses on planets, Nakshatras, and Graha Drishti, Jaimini uses Rashi Drishti (sign aspects), Chara Karakas (variable significators assigned by longitude), Arudha padas (image points), and sign-based Dasha systems. The two systems are complementary — most advanced Jyotishis use both.

Studying Jaimini Astrology
Begin with the Jaimini Sutras — though cryptic, commentaries by Iranganti Rangacharya and Sanjay Rath are excellent starting points. Master Chara Karakas first: Atmakaraka, Amatyakaraka, and Darakaraka are used in almost every Jaimini reading. Then study Arudha Lagna (AL) and Upapada Lagna (UL) for external life and relationships. Finally, learn Narayana Dasha for event-based prediction. Jaimini is most powerful when used in tandem with Parashara — they validate each other.
