What Neecha Bhanga Means
Neecha Bhanga Raja Yoga (नीचभंग राजयोग) means "cancellation of debility producing royal combination." When a debilitated (Neecha) planet meets specific rescue conditions, its weakness is cancelled and the native often rises remarkably — especially during the planet's Dasha. The yoga is paradoxical: the very planet that seemed broken becomes a catalyst for exceptional achievement. The more conditions satisfied, the stronger the yoga.

Reading Neecha Bhanga in Practice
The more cancellation conditions present, the more powerful the Neecha Bhanga. One condition gives modest improvement; three or more produce genuine Raja Yoga potential. Classic example: Saturn debilitated in Aries with Venus (lord of Libra, Saturn's exaltation sign) in a Kendra — powerful cancellation. The rise often comes through a field related to the debilitated planet's significations and usually manifests in the planet's own Dasha period.
